Ten representatives from Northwest councils travelling abroad for St.Patricks Day



Ten members of councils from the Northwest will be travelling abroad for St Patricks Day this week.

Councillors and representatives from Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim County Councils will be going on trips to America and Germany.

Representing Sligo County Council the Cathaoirleach Councillor Seamus Kilgannon, Chief Executive Ciaran Hayes and Head of Enterprise John Reilly will travel to New York for a series of engagements during St Patrick’s week.

From Leitrim County Council, Finola Armstrong McGuire, Cathaoirleach and Mr Joseph Gilhooly, Director of Services & Deputy Chief Executive will be travelling to New York for St. Patrick’s Day to represent the County.

While Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh the Mayor of the Letterkenny Municipal District, Cllr Michael McBride, and Mary Daly from Donegal County Council’s Tourism Unit will be going to Germany.

The Leas Chathaoirleach Cllr Noel Jordan and Garry Martin the Director of Service will be going to the US. The Cathaoirleach, Sinn Fein Cllr Gerry McMonagle will not be travelling abroad for St Patricks Day.
