A well-known Pro-Life campaigner in Leitrim has confirmed she will run again in the next election.
Bernie O’Hara from Dromahair ran in the 2016 election and confirmed on North West Today this morning that she intends to run as an Independent in the Sligo Leitrim constituency again.
She is well known for her views against abortion but she says she will NOT be campaigning on Pro-Life issues alone this time round.
She says rural areas need more TDs like the Healy Raes and Mattie McGrath who she claims are the only ones getting work done for their areas:
