A Sligo Independent Alliance Councillor says funding will be announced before Easter for flood relief works in an area of Sligo town.
On a number of occasions, flooding has hit the Rathbraughan area, with houses in the Woodlands Estate and Mowlam Nursing Home having been affected.
The issue was discussed at yestereday’s meeting of Sligo County Council.
