A fundraiser in aid of a Strandhill woman who narrowly escaped death in a horrific car-crash in Florida last year has been postponed due to the weather.
The Draft House in Strandhill was due to hold a cookery demonstration and launch of their spring menu in aid of Elaine O’Halloran’s medical fund tomorrow (Thurs 1st March).
Elaine who is in her mid-twenties was the only survivor of the crash which resulted in her being paralysed from the waist down.
Her treatment in the United States and ongoing rehabilitation is expected to cost around half a billion dollars.
This week’s fundraiser has been postponed until next Thursday the 8th of March instead.
