Friends and colleagues form Guard of Honour for the late Jimmy Loughlin



Friends and colleagues of the late Jimmy Loughlin formed a guard of honour at his funeral today.

The 20 year old from Kilross was found dead at his rented house on Connolly Street on Saturday afternoon.

Gardai believe he was the victim of an assault. A 31 year old Sligo man was charged with his murder in court on Monday.

Dozens of his friends from school, from McDonalds where he worked and Ballygawley Celtic who he played football with formed a guard of honour.

Speaking during the ceremony, Fr Vinny Connaughton said is was difficult for people to come to terms with the way in which Jimmy was taken from them:
