Business Feature: Ten years behind… Sligo needs to catch up and develop its potential



The new head of the Chamber of Commerce in Sligo says Sligo is around ten years behind in terms of investment and infrastructure.

Business consultant based in Riverstown Fiona Candon was named the new President of the Chamber on Wednesday.

She says one of her priorities will be to ensure that clear time bound regional targets across all programmes under the Project Ireland 2040 are agreed and funded properly.

She spoke to Ocean FM News this week saying tourism is another underdeveloped resource for the county:
