Keeping people in the North West is key, says head of IT Sligo



The head of IT Sligo says that maintaining the population in the North West is a key concern over the next 20 years.

Dr. Brendan McCormack is preparing to welcome the government Cabinet led by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to IT Sligo on Friday.

It’s an unusual move by the government to hold the meeting outside the capital but it’s the second time it’s been held in Sligo in recent years.

The government’s plan for Ireland and the region until 2040 will be launched backed up by an investment plan to fund it.
