Sligo Live could be in jeopardy because of proposed funding cut



The future of a leading festival in the North West could be in jeopardy if its funding from Sligo County Council is cut this year.

It’s been proposed to cut the grant given to Sligo Live this year by €2000.

But councillors heard at their monthly meeting yesterday that this could jeopardise the future of the event which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the county each October.
