The Minister for Transport has approved funding for the Western Distributor Road in Sligo and Fintra Bridge in Donegal.
They are part of the Regional and Local Grant allocations announced by Shane Ross today.
There have been calls for many years now for work to be done on Fintra Bridge which is the only road going out to the busy tourist destination of the Sliabh Liag.
Meanwhile, funding has now been approved for the long-awaited Western Distributor Road from Caltragh to Finisklin and the Eastern Garavogue Bridge as well.
