81-year-old waits over 15 hours on a trolley at Sligo University Hospital



An 81-year-old woman had to wait for 15 hours on a trolley at the Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital this week. There has been 61 patients waiting on trolleys this week at the hospital according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Tuesday was the busiest day at the hospital with 31 waiting for a bed. The majority of those waiting at the hospital have been waiting over nine hours.
