Council may have to consider legal action over Abbey Manor Hotel



Leitrim County Council says a ‘potential’ partnership that would have seen the old Abbey Manor Hotel brought back into commercial use has not come to pass.

The derelict building – which is a protected structure – has now fallen into an unsightly and dangerous state.

Locals believe it’s a source of at best anti-social behaviour and at worst a breeding ground for local crime.

Senior Planner with the Council Bernard Greene says a resolution with the owners looks unlikely and they will now have to consider legal action:
