The body of a missing man from Co Kerry has been recovered after the search of a river in Central Ecuador.
26 year old David Higgins from Kerry went missing on Saturday after a group of 5 kayakers became caught in a flash-flood on the River Abanico.
The body of 19 year old Sligo man Alex McGourty was found shortly after the incident.
26-year-old David Higgins, a native of Tralee, Co Kerry but who had been living in Galway for a number of years, went missing when he and Alex McGourty from Sligo got into difficulty whilst kayaking.
The pair had been navigating the River Abanico, near the city of Macas, the capital of Morona Santiago province, on Saturday.
Tragically Mr Higgins body was found this morning, while Mr McGrourtys body was found on Saturday.
British kayaker Adam Nicolas Vaughan is still missing, while Ecuadorian kayaker, Joaquin Meneses was found alive this morning.
