A young man from Sligo has died in a kayaking accident in South America.
20-year-old, Alex McGourty, from Calry, has been working in Ecuador as a trainee instructor.
This afternoon, the Sligo Kayaking club, which he had been a member of since he was 13, paid tribute to him on their Facebook page.
