Sligo’s Scór na nÓg champions aiming for Connacht success this weekend

Sligo’s Scór na nÓg champions will move on to the provincial finals on this Sunday as they take part in the Connacht finals in Claremorris Town Hall. The five different acts are each bidding for a place in the All Ireland finals which will be held in the Knocknarea Arena at IT Sligo on February 17th. The acts have been preparing since the County Final held in November and will no doubt do their club and county proud on Sunday.

Easkey will be hoping to be on song as their Ballad Group and Solo Singer, Amber Jade McDonnell take to the stage. Meanwhile their neighbours St Farnan’s will compete in the Instrumental Music Section. St Mary’s complete the line up with Mark Mullen performing in the Recitation/Storytelling section and the clubs Léiriú/Drama Presentation group also were successful in booking their place in the Connact final.

Meanwhile last weekend Naomh Eoin retained their quiz title and go straight through to the All Ireland final. They were followed closely by St Mary’s in second and Coolaney/Mullinabreena in third.
