A company in Letterkenny has been targeted in a financial scam.
Gardai are warning businesses right across the North West to be aware of the scam which is similar to one where Meath County Council nearly lost millions of euro a few years ago.
They normally send emails to the finance department from what appears to be the CEO or Director of that company requesting an urgent transfer of money.
Donegal Crime Prevention Officer Paul Wallace says the emails usually have an aol.co.uk address.
