Irwin on the Mark as Irish Garda team qualify for Euro championships

Sligo’s Mark Irwin scored a crucial goal as the Irish Garda team beat their counterparts from Norway 4-1 today to book their place at the European Police Championships in Prague this summer.

The Ballymote Celtic striker played 85 minutes and netted the second goal in Oslo with a powerful header as the game was in the balance at 1-1 midway through the second half.
