No device found in border search near Kiltyclogher

Police in Northern Ireland say nothing was found following their search for a suspected explosive device in an area near the Leitrim/Fermanagh border.

Two roads, the Kilcoo Road and Cashel Road in Fermanagh, have now reopened.

The search followed reports that a suspect device had been left in a wooded area between Cashel Cross and Kiltyclogher.

However, the Police Service of Northern Ireland says that following their search, ‘nothing untoward was found.’

The PSNI has thanked the local community in the area for their patience during the search operation.

It continues to seek information from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area in recent days.
