Intermediate team management

At last Friday’s club meeting, the club ratified the appointment of former Sligo footballer Con O’Meara and 2017 boss Pat Darcy as joint managers of our Intermediate footballers for 2018. Keith Mullaney and Declan Hughes complete the management ticket as selectors. The club extends its best wishes to the new management and the squad of players for the coming season.

Underage management

Last Friday’s meeting also confirmed our underage management teams for the coming year. They are – U-6: Trevor Gordon, Henry McDonnell, Kevin Bourke; U-8: Greg Regan, Dermot Beglin, U-10: Derek Tuffy, Carmel O’Neill; U-12: Francie Gallagher, Paul Bourke, Eamon Harnett, Eamon O’Malley, Christopher Ormsby; U-14: Shane Hargadon, Cathal Mullaney, Paul Bourke; U-16: John Paul Carden, Brian Coleman, Paddy Martin; Minor: Declan Rouse, Johnny Mullaney; U-21: Brendan Murray. Best wishes to all for 2018.

Dinner Dance

We will have an All-Star line-up for our annual dinner dance on Saturday, February 10th in the Diamond Coast Hotel. The club is very pleased to confirm that Hurler of the Year, Galway’s Joe Canning, and Tyrone football legend Peter Canavan will both be in attendance on the night as our special guests. The night will also involve several presentations to successful teams and our usual individual awards. Tickets will be available shortly from the usual outlets.

AGM

Our AGM will take place on Friday, February 2nd at 8pm in the clubhouse.

Mass

There will be a mass for the recovery of health of Jonathan Higgins in the Church of the Holy Family Kilglass on Tuesday evening at 7pm.

Married vs Singles donation

Both the Moy Search and Rescue and the Civil Defence will receive €350 each after donations received at our Married vs Singles match on December 27th. Thanks to everyone who donated on the day for these worthy causes.

Sympathy

At last Friday’s club meeting, votes of sympathy were extended to the Sweeney family and the Reilly family following recent bereavements.

Blotto

There was no winner of last weekend’s blotto draw. Next week’s jackpot will be €14200, its highest ever figure. Thanks to everyone for the continued support.
