Leitrim is losing out on tourism potential by not opening the Sean MacDiarmada cottage in Kiltyclogher to the public.
The homestead of the historic 1916 Rising leader is located in a remote area outside the village.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says that 2017 was a ‘disaster’ for tourism in the area.
