Meetings to be held in Southwest Donegal in bid to retain Irish language



A series of meetings are to take place across South Donegal in a bid to secure the future of the Irish language in the region.

The Irish Language Planning Strategy for the Sliabh Liag peninusula, which included Kilcar, Glencolmcille and Ardara is being developed at present.

There are over 1,200 houses in the area.

And Chairperson of the Committee, Eunan Cunningham says if more people are speaking Irish it will be a further boost to tourism in the area:
