Storm Eleanor caused extensive erosion damage to County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point earlier this week.
Up to 300 metres of dunes was damaged in the poor weather and an area of the sixteenth hole was washed away.
Hundreds of thousands of euro has been spent repairing the Championship course over the past few years.
And the General Manager of County Sligo Golf Club, David O’Donavan is calling on the Council to put a plan in place to protect the area:
