The numbers waiting on trolleys has escalated even further today with over 50 people waiting on trolleys in Donegal and Sligo.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that there are 26 people waiting for a bed in Sligo and Letterkenny University hospitals.
Overall the number of people on hospital trolleys has reached a new national record high – at 677.
