Cleaning the river will prevent flooding in Pettigo

Flooding could be avoided in Pettigo if the river is cleaned out in the village.

The border village has been floodined a couple of times in the last three years.

And in just 18 months a number of businesses suffered damage when the river Termon burst its banks.

Local Sinn Fein Councillor Noel Jordan says there is currently a lot of debris in the river and it should be cleared out.
