People in the North West are urged to contact out of hours numbers in case of medical emergencies this Christmas.
Caredoc works with the HSE in the North West to ensure there is cover for people when normal GP surgeries are closed.
NoWDOC, is a partnership between the GP members of Caredoc and the HSE, and provides an urgent GP family Doctor service to patients in Co Donegal and south Leitrim.
NoWDOC says that patients should call the 1850 400 911 number from now until next Wednesday morning.
When you call your case will be assessed and if treatment is needed, you can make an appointment to go to one of the centres based in Letterkenny, Carndonagh, Mountcharles, Derrybeg and Carrick-on-Shannon which are all by appointment only.
For Sligo, North Leitrim, and West Cavan call 0818 365 399 for out of hours service over the Christmas and the New Year breaks.
Most GP surgeries are open as normal on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between Christmas and the New Year.
