Connacht champions Sligo to host Lansdowne in All-Ireland semi-final



Sligo’s reward for winning the Connacht Senior Cup last weekend is an All-Ireland semi-final against high-flying Lansdowne in January.

The Connacht champions have been given home advantage for the tie, which will take place in Strandhill’s Hamilton Park on January 13.

Sligo came from behind to dramatically beat Corinthians to claim their first Connacht senior title in over a century last weekend.

The Dublin club won the Leinster title and currently lie top of Division 1A of the AIL, four divisions above Sligo, who are the current league-leaders in Division 2C.

It means a busy month ahead for Sligo as they battle to stay top in the league alongside the cup competition.
