Pensioner whose wife was killed by drunk driver says Scanlon should rethink drink driving comments



A pensioner whose wife was killed by a drunk driver in Co Sligo has said that a local Fianna Fail TD should rethink comments he made on drink driving laws.

Sligo Leitrim Deputy Eamon Scanlon said that drivers who live in rural areas should be allowed to have one or two drinks.

James Mounseys wife Karen was killed in a head on collision near Riverstown in August 2010.

Mr Mounsey, who was also seriously injured in the crash seven years ago, says he thinks drink driving laws should be stricter in Ireland:
