Former Fianna Fail Minister says Donegal cancer charity has questions to answer

A former Fianna Fail Minister has said a Donegal cancer charity have questions to answer after it was revealed that they received over €400,000 more than it spent in the last two years.

The Good and New charity, drives cancer patients to and from Donegal to Galway on a weekly basis.

Figures from the charity regulator show that the Letterkenny based charity received €815,000 in donations in 2015 and 2016. But it’s expenditure was €390,000.

Dr James McDaid, who is now the President of the Donegal Hospice, says there are transparency issues at the charity…..

Ocean FM has tried to contact the Chairman of the charity Eamon McDevitt, but to date we have received no reply.
