Sligo JPC pays tribute to retiring Superintendent Mary Murray

Sligo’s Joint Policing Committee has paid tribute to outgoing Superintendent Mary Murray today.

Mary Murray has over 30 years service with An Garda Siochana and will retire at the end of the month.

She has served most of her career in Sligo Leitrim based in stations including Manorhamilton, Ballymote and for the last seven years as Superintendent in Sligo.

Chairperson Councillor Rosaleen O’Grady joined Chief Superintendent Aidan Glacken and CEO of the Council Ciaran Hayes in paying tribute to her.

Speaking to Ocean FM News following the meeting, Superintendent Murray said there have been many high profile and challenging policing activities during her career:
