McSharry improves on her IM best in Copenhagen

Mona McSharry swam a lifetime best of 1:01.90 when finishing seventh in a fast heat in the 100m Individual Medley at the European Championships in Copenhagen this morning.

The Grange youngster was also part of the Irish team that set a new national record of 1:43.15 in the Senior Mixed Medley Relay.

McSharry is back in the pool on Friday for the heats of the 100 metres breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Ireland’s Jordan Sloan is the only Irish swimmer that has made it through to this evening’s finals, having has secured a place in the 200m Freestyle.
