HSE commits to reinstating respite in Sligo by early next year



The HSE has committed to having respite services restored for families in Sligo by early next year.

Senior officials from the Department of Health and the HSE have met following represenations from local politicians on the closure of the Solace respite centre in Sligo.

It means many of these families are travelling to Monaghan for respite.

Independent Councillor Marie Casserly has received a commitment that a service will be up and running by the end of March:
