A Sligo Fianna Fail TD has once again hit out at what he calls the government’s new ‘spin unit’.
€5m was allocated by the government to the new unit in the 2018 Budget and it’s being headed by a Sligo native – former Failte Ireland executive John Concannon.
Marc MacSharry says that the new ads are now crediting the government of Ireland for basic public entitlements like the invalidity pension.
He is critical of the ads and says the money being spent on this unit is a complete waste:
