One in four migrants in the fishing industry have faced verbal or physical abuse



One in four migrants in the fishing industry have faced verbal or physical abuse – while one in five face racism or discrimination.

That’s according to new research from the Migrant Rights Centre Ireland.

It’s also found a majority are working over 100 hours a week, and receive an average pay of just under € 3.
