Domestic violence victims remembered at Sligo ceremony



The eight female victims of domestic violence in Ireland this year have been remembered at a ceremony in Sligo this afternoon.

100 people turned up at the event at Rockwood Parade in Sligo to highlight the issue of domestic violence, and lillies were thrown into the Garavogue River to remember those who have died.

The event marks the conclusion of the 16 days of action opposing violence against women.
