Disappointment at new Garda numbers coming to NW stations



The numbers of new recruits being sent to Garda Stations in the North West is once again disappointing.

That’s according to Stranorlar Fianna Fail Councillor Patrick MacGowan who has raised concerns about the issue.

Just nine of the new Garda recruits who graduated on Friday will be based in Sligo and Donegal.

He says it’s impossible to tackle rural crime with the numbers currently on the ground:
