Small businesses in Connacht and Ulster suffering because of lack of broadband



20 percent of Irish small businesses say poor broadband is preventing them creating a website.

A survey from IE Domain Registry says the problem’s worst in Connacht and Ulster, where a quarter of firms say they can’t put their business online.

SMEs with a website earn an average of 27 thousand euro a year more than their offline competitors.
