Sinn Fein insisting on special status for the North after Brexit



A North West MEP says Sinn Fein remains committed to its stance that a special status needs to be acquired for the North in the Brexit negotiations.

Matt Carthy says that sometimes he feels that the DUP forgets that Northern Ireland voted to remain in the Brexit referendum.

He says a hard border is a non-runner.

He welcomes the comments by Theresa May today that she’s committed to ensuring no hard border is put in place.

He says he hopes that farmers, businesses and anyone in the North who suppports the DUP come out and condemn the party’s stance on Brexit:
