Aodh Ruadh GAA Club Notes

Fitness Trail and Running Track

Many thanks to those who supported last Friday night’s Race Night by buying a horse, taking an advert or providing sponsorship. We are grateful to Maurice McLaughlin who hosted, Brendan Gallagher for all of his work and Michael Daly who provided an excellent and entertaining commentary. Thanks also to Anthony Travers and Patsy Kilgannon who took care of the ‘bookmaking’ duties . This was a very successful fund-raiser which has pushed our take from this series of initiatives to over €10,000, allowing us to proceed with the first stage of works.

Sports Capital Funding

Aodh Ruadh Park / Development Committee got the good news on Friday that its funding submission was successful and grant aid of €96,000 has been allocated. This makes a major inroad to the substantial funding required to build a new playing surface on Father Tierney Park. Subject to the additional funding being raised , this project could proceed in 2019. We wish to sincerely acknowledge the support of our public representatives who supported the application and who were in touch with our key project personnel throughout the process and on Friday last.

Meet Mickey Harte

Enterprise Town takes place in Coláiste Cholmcille this Saturday from 11am to 2pm. Special guest Tyrone manager Mickey Harte will be present and taking questions from the floor.
