Minister expects progress on new Garda Station in New Year



The Minister for Justice says he recognises the pressure Gardai at Sligo Garda Station are working in.

Charlie Flanagan was given a tour of the station on a visit to Sligo on Friday evening.

He told Ocean FM News that he is doing everything he can to ensure that a new state-of-the-art station is provided and he expects to report progress early next year.

The Minister said he is working closely with OPW Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran to acquire a site.
