€2.5m for Donegal Local Improvement Schemes

Extra funding has been announced for Local Improvement Schemes.

Donegal is getting the highest allocation in the country of more than €2.5m of an over €7.3m allocation.

Leitrim has been allocated almost €238,000 while Sligo is getting just over €214,000.

Donegal TD and government Minister Joe McHugh is welcoming the allocation for Donegal in particular.

The money will go towards repairing and improving small roads and laneways leading to people’s homes that don’t come under the normal maintenance budget of Councils.
