Government Chief Whip says we are on the brink of a General Election



The country is on the brink of a General Election due to a political row over the Maurice McCabe controversy.

Fianna Fáil is due to table a motion of no confidence in the Tánaiste, breaking its agreement with the Government.

But Fine Gael is adamant Frances Fitzgerald has done nothing wrong, and says the country is not ready for an election.
