Arrow Harps 4

By Ronan Flanagan

Boyle Celtic U-14 girls came out on top in an eleven goal thriller at Celtic Park on Saturday.

The home side made an ideal start. After some smart passing, Niamh Brogan fired in after Aisling Feely’s shot was initially saved.

Arrow Harps got into the game thereafter and scored two goals of their own. The first was a tap in from close range, while the second was a powerful strike into the corner after a ‘Celtic defensive mix up.

On the stroke of half- time, the home side equalised. Aisling Feely raced through and found the net. Half Time: Boyle Celtic 2 Arrow Harps 2.

Arrow made the perfect start to second half. Only nineteen seconds in, number seven raced in behind the Boyle defence to lead the game again. They scored again two minutes later, as number ten ran through and looped the ball into the net.

The match wasn’t over yet. Roseann Callan scored from a failed Arrow Harps clearance  and minutes later, Feely scored her second. This time, she cut in from the right and found the bottom corner.

Two became three for Feely as she cut through the ‘Harps defence to make it five goals to four.

In between an Arrow Harps missed penalty, Boyle scored two more. Niamh Brogan scored her second and Feely her forth as it finished Boyle Celtic 7 Arrow Harps 4.
