Cuts to garda numbers leaving crimes undetected in Donegal

Gardaí in Donegal say cuts to officer numbers in the county are leaving many crimes going undetected and unreported.

Overall Garda numbers in the county have fallen by 23 per cent over the past seven years – while a number of stations have also been closed.

Brendan O’Connor from the Garda Representative Assosiation says the situation is unsustainable – and officers are being put at risk.
