Sligo Tidy Towns are looking to build on this years success.
For the first time, Sligo Town received a Bronze medal in the awards and 16 positive marks which is also the highest they have received.
A number of improvement schemes have been implemented in the town over the past few years and have now payed off.
Speaking to OceanFM, Chairperson of the committee, Peter Tiernan says they are in the process of drwaing up plans for next year.
