Donegal mother welcomes medicinal cannibis facility for the NW



A Co Donegal mother, who has two children with special needs, says that a medicinal cannabis research facility can only benefit the North West.

Greenlight Medicines, a company that researches the potential medical use of the drug, say they plan to have a factory up and running in Donegal early next year creating up to 200 new jobs.

It comes as government plans to legalise its use in certain medical cases such as for chronic pain was debated in the Dail yesterday and TDs are set to vote on the bill next week.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, a mother from Donegal Gina Grant, says she hopes people will be able to access medicinal cannabis once this research facility is built:
