Sligo and Mayo preparing to face off in Masters final



Sligo and Mayo will also clash in this year’s All-Ireland Gaelic Masters final in Ballymote this Saturday.

Cavan referee Gerry Sheridan has been appointed to take charge of the final, while Sligo referee John Griffin will take charge of the curtain-raiser – the shield final involving Tyrone and Galway.

The shield final is underway from 12.45pm, with the main event following at 2.45pm.

The Yeats men were victorious when the sides met in the group stages, but Sligo player Con O’Meara says there was not much between the sides…
