Government hope to have the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ratified soon



A Sligo/Leitrim TD has asked the Government why it has not ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

It’s ten years since the landmark convention was adopted by the United Nations.

Speaking in the Dail yesterday, Deputy Tony McLaughlin said it was meant to be ratified at the end of last year.
