There are serious concerns over working conditions at another Garda Station in county Sligo.
Independent Councillor Margaret Gormley says the 12 Gardai in Tubbercurry are also working in substandard conditions.
It follows ongoing concerns about Sligo town Garda station which has been deemed ‘not fit for purpose’ and efforts are ongoing to secure a site for a new Regional Headquarters.
An extension is being proposed for the garda station in Tubbercurry.
But Councillor Gormley says that’s not enough based on the health and safety issues Gardai are facing:
