The section of the N4 from Collooney to Castlebaldwin is closed from now (9am) to remove a truck from the verge at Cloonlurg.
Dublin bound traffic will be diverted via the N17 at Toberbride Roundabout ,the R293 to Ballymote ,R295 to Boyle and the N61, while traffic from Sligo will be diverted L-1404/L- 1601 Castlebaldwin to Ballymote, R293 and the N17.
The road is expected to be closed for around 6 hours with it reopening around midafternoon today.
Sligo County Council is advising motorists to be aware if travelling along this route and seeks the cooperation of the public while the emergency works are carried out
