Sligo Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy informed OceanFM today that the truck at Cloonlurg is now removed.
Specialist works are still being carried out however to repair the damage done to the side of the road and Sligo County Council say the road will be back in full operation this evening
A truck went off the road earlier this week and emergency works took place today to remove it.
