Tougher drink driving sanctions will impact rural dwellers more seriously, according to Irish Rural Link.
Under the proposals being debated this afternoon, a person caught with a reduced blood alcohol limit faces a driving ban for their first offence.
There’s also a call to improve Meals on Wheels and Local Link Bus services, to combat rural isolation.
